I am consistently amazed by how drastically the painting experience can change by simply increasing or decreasing the size of the canvas. This goes the same way with editing. For a bigger screen, camera shakiness, for example, becomes much more prominent and any imperfection is magnified. I have not edited as much for a big screen, mainly for the computer/Internet, so I notice these differences significantly and how they affect my overall editing experience.   When Aaron Lyons commissioned me to edit a 30-second piece for the Venture Labs Investment Competition (VLIC), to be displayed on the Nasdaq Tower in…

I started off the day with a few goals. 1.)  Find and meet the Wongfu Productions team 2.)  Find the batmobiles 3.)  Meet up with my friend Kelly Huddleston 4.)  Go out   I must say that I am very proud to have accomplished everything. It took some teamwork with Chris to do number 1 and 2, but I did it!   Anyway, the day started off with long lines. I learned very quickly that if you have an early morning shift like 10:30 am, they make you wait until 10:30 am to get your badge. As a result, if…

The Hostel   If someone wanted one word that comes to my mind when I think of Comic-Con, the word would be lines — lots and lots of lines. Chris Jackson, who had went last year, and is the reason why I am even able to come to Comic-Con this year (thank you Chris) had warned me about these lines, but it still did not prepare me for what I saw at 8 AM in the morning. Insane.   The line snaked from the front of the building to the back of the building to the building next to the building….

One of Moth to Flame's favorite McCombs' events is the annual International Night event at UT McCombs. The event was documented by Christine Chen and Praveen Katta. Footage edited by Kelsey Parks. International Night is an event that I look forward to every year as a MBA student at McCombs. It's a beautiful celebration of some of McCombs' student diversity. There is food, dance, and colors. My favorite part is the food, of course. This year, I participated in two of the booths (India and Africa) as a dancer. I figured, when am I going to be able to wear...

Health is not just about what you eat. Hear more from celebrity chef, Lizette López de Arriaga!   Meeting chef Lizette López de Arriaga was very inspiring. She has a charisma and a positive energy that quite literally radiates from her. I had the honor of documenting one of the events from her Wellness Ambassador Program, a program thats goal is to encourage people of all ages to live healthier lives. Lizette says that health is not just in the choices of foods we eat, but is an overall lifestyle choice that involves how we are doing emotionally as well….

My friend Becka asked me if I could help film the Big Reds and Bubbles event, hosted by the Wine and Food Foundation of Texas. The moment she said free food from the best chefs in Austin and free wine, I said of course. It was a beautiful event with booths from different restaurants in Austin and over 100 different types of wines and champagnes. I ate way too much. The event took place at The Driskell Hotel and was packed the entire night. My favorite food item of the night was definitely the crab cakes made by Truluck’s. I…
